I need to see Jester drag Caleb and Fjord for filth after seeing them do that blood ritual.

I really want her to talk to Beau about it - I know they're not exactly roommates anymore, but the two of them have discussed things with a lot of openness in the past when it's just the two of them, and Beau did try to make morality-check deals with the two of them...

Beau's perspective will be interesting since she hasn't really been all that put off by Fjord's crazy powers or his reckless behaviors. This might be different because it did almost sink their boat, which would have been a direct problem for the M9 but I'm not sure she'd be as disturbed by the whole thing as Jester is.

the fight was terrifying and amazing. and the blood ritual was everything i could have wanted. i can't wait for the character development that's gonna come out of this.

It was such a short fight but wild as all fuck. When Caleb dropped to zero hit points just from fear I thought we were really finally gonna see the TPK we've all feared.

I've been thinking about how there might be a connection in that Sabien decided to sabotage the ship so close to the Diver's Grave. Could the underwater temple-thing be associated with Uk'otoa?

It might just be a total coincidence/convenience for Matt as a DM to have the two locations near each other, but until it became clear that the blood ritual was used for summoning storms and not anything with the eye, I was almost positive that Sabien was trying to sacrifice Fjord's ship somehow. But there's nothing so far to suggest that Sabien has anything to do with Uk'otoa, right?

My theory is that Sabien intentionally tried to sink the ship over the diver's grave to deter anyone from investigating or thinking too much on it. No one's really going to question if a ship sinks in a place where ships are known to sink. The only question is why he decided to sink the ship in the first place. I don't think he's a follower of Uk'otoa or he would have taken Vandren's sphere. So maybe he's a follower of one of the other two gods and was trying to gain their favor by taking out Uk'otoa's chosen? Or it's all a red herring and Sabien was up to something else entirely.

So Beau, Nott, and Caduceus know nothing about the attempted blood ritual, right? Nott and Beau would probably find it very careless, but Caduceus might be especially unhappy... I don't know enough about the Wildmother to really say though.

I hope someone is writing the AU where the ritual was completed because the idea of what they would do if they destroyed their own ship is kinda hilarious ^^

Yeah, Jester and Yasha were the only ones still in the room. I'm veeeeeeery interested to see how she's going to react in the long run, especially when we finally get Ashley back.

I didn't even think of Yasha! Follower of the Stormlord... it really sucks that Ashley wasn't there for this part :(
