It's SO amazing, oh man. I am in AWE of that scene with Caduceus and the fungus, there's so much detail in such a short clip and the transitions and compositions are just incredible

I'm still crying over the line "take a chance, roll the dice" on the shot of Mollymauk's grave. And the cut from his grave to Caduceus haloed in sun with his tea.

... OH my god, I just realized: Mollymauk Tealeaf --> Caduceus with his tea. And not just any tea, but tea made from dead people. Tea made from dead people, used to nourish and comfort the living. I am dumb and Taliesin Jaffe is too good at this 😢

Plus the symbolism of the raven, for anyone whose finished Campaign 1, as if that sequence needed anymore ouch.

Taliesin is SO good. There's so many layers of symbolism and iconography and meaning in everything he does, even stuff that feels superficial at first. Man. MAN. I can't wait for his Caduceus playlist

Honestly, I never really cared for Molly as much as everyone else in the fandom did, but I warmed to Caduceus almost immediately and he has been consistently Iconic from day one.

This is so amazing and I was NOT prepared for how hard the flash to Molly’s grave hit me. Wow. I love the references to most character’s backstories, too.

I literally cannot get over how beautiful this is. And, listen, if I teared up the second (and maybe also third) time I watched it -- I'm just a girl, sitting in front of her computer, having some emotions about a few D&D characters.

The fact that Sam and Travis set out on a top secret mission to create this without the rest of the cast knowing for a very long time makes the whole thing that much more endearing.

OF COURSE. It was only mentioned in passing, but apparently Travis and Sam worked with these animators in secret for over FIVE MONTHS before revealing it to the rest of the cast (/seeking out their vocal talents). Which is kind of the most endearing backstory, IMO.

God, there were so many good parts of this intro, and the chosen moments to highlights were A+.

- Beau's intro being her bleeding and fighting, and that frozen shot of her and Yasha fighting next to each other? So, so good

- Yasha's downward strike with her sword turning into the stick holding up Molly's cloak above his grave

- All the shots of the group, but especially the one with all of them around the campfire. There's something so homey about that one ;_;

Ooh, the campfire. I love CR's epic battles, no doubt, but I'm so well supplied for those from the actual show that all I want from fanfic is slice-of-life Mighty Nein becoming friends.
